It will take you five minutes to play and then there's a somewhat interesting ending based on what you did, but nothing really changes upon subsequent playthroughs and even with 4 players there is no interaction or cooperative aspect. Less a game and more a children's picture book.. This game looked hilarious but would have been better as a card-/boardgame with friends. The concept as a PC game felt spectacularly lackluster and took about 12 minutes to complete from start to finish. You choose up to 4 characters and rotate between them, choosing a different map location for them to perform Task A or B. It has stats that change each turn you make and you're given Result X or Y for each turn. (That's it. Choose a location, choose an action, event happens, you choose your response, solution. End of turn. This whole process takes about 30 seconds max) Overall the game would have been much cooler as anything other than a pc game. If you're easily amused by "Well that escalated quickly!" type scenarios, you'll love it. Otherwise I'm annoyed I paid money for this game, even at half off.. Sorry, but this game is not worth buying. After only a few playthroughs the whole story already repeats itself. I absolutely expected more variety and a more interesting story.. A surprisingly great party game, The Yawhg is filled with laughter and spectacular failures all around. Get a group of up to 4 friends together and have each of them control a character in the game's world. Each round lasts around twenty minutes long, and is replayable enough to easily last the length of an entire night of fun. Is made even better when you bring a great narrator to read the dialogue aloud and give it a bit more depth.. 6.99 for 20 minutes of gameplay isnt worth it for me. While this game does deserve multiple plays it isnt worth the price of the game as even multiple playthroughs seem far to similar to each other.. I bought The Yawhg before it was released on Steam, and I really wish I could recommend it, but I can't. It's a menu-based time management game for up to four players with gorgeous comic art, which would be fine if there was enough content for more than a few playthroughs. The problem is that after you've played it a couple of times, the random events begin to repeat, and you get the sinking feeling that you've already seen all that there is to see. Honestly, it seems like it was designed to impress people who don't actually play games.I strongly recommend checking out Emily Carroll's comics at emcarroll.com. If you're interested in a similar style of time management game, take a look at Horse Master at noncanon.com/HorseMaster.html. Very good game, Interesting story with some random elements and alot of choises. There are so many different endings to this game that you can play through it over 30 times and still come out with a new outcome each time 5/5. This is a good game, and a great party game if you have 2 or more players (best with 4) There are a lot of people who play "The Yawhg" a few times through and say that it is pretty monotonous. My statement to them is that they are probably monotonous in their play style. If you play this game trying to maximize your character, it turns into a boring game quickly. This is a game for adventurousness and sometimes crazy play styles will actually make a much more successful and interesting ending. Those who played the game through 3 times are judging a game almost by the tutorial. You need to play quite a few times to see some of the interesting random occurances play out that make the game really fun.
